On its way out to O'Hare, the Holiday Train stops at Clark/Lake while the train's operator, Bruce Nelson, checks the doors on November 28, 2003. Although the main purpose was to transfer to the train to Rosemont Yard in anticipation of the train's scheduled operation on the Blue Line the next day, the train ran in service and carried passengers between Racine and O'Hare that night. Part of the traditional decoration of the interior of the Holiday Train are humorous car cards, with jokes, puns, and light-hearted messages. This one, inside the 2007 Holiday Train, notes that Santa and his reindeer take public transit too! (Photo by Tony Coppoletta)
